Course FAQ

  • Why do I need specific training on fire doors if we already have general fire alarms and extinguishers?

Fire doors are a crucial component of a building’s passive fire protection system. While extinguishers and alarms alert and tackle active fires, fire doors contain smoke and flames to secure evacuation routes. Without proper understanding and maintenance, fire doors can fail rapidly, rendering other safety measures ineffective.

  • How long does this course take to complete, and can I study at my own pace?

The course features approximately 40 minutes of video content. Because it is delivered entirely online, you can pause, rewind, and progress through modules whenever it suits your schedule.

  • Is there an assessment at the end of the Fire Doors course?

Yes, each of the 4 core modules requires a 70% pass rate, culminating in a Final Exam (also requiring 70%) to verify your competence.

  • What further courses should I consider after completing this module?

To build a complete fire safety knowledge base, you can progress to courses such as Fire Extinguisher, Basic Fire Safety, and Fire Marshall. For management-focused roles, Introduction to Risk Assessment or Leadership Skills are recommended follow-ups.
